Short answer

A SaaS explainer or demo usually takes 3 to 4 weeks, revisions included. At Neo Agency it goes: a two-minute brief, a video walkthrough of our approach within 24 hours, a fixed quote within 48, then your script within 48 hours of kickoff, the storyboard and first seconds of animation in week one, and the full video with revisions after that.

Every step, explained

  1. Brief

You tell us what the video is for, who will watch it and where it will live. Our brief asks six questions; our guide on how to brief a product video covers what to include.

  2. Walkthrough and quote

We look at your product and record a short video explaining how we'd approach it. Then a fixed, itemised quote. Once you approve it, the price doesn't change.

  3. Script and creative direction

The message, the scene list and the visual style, in writing. This is the most important step: words are cheap to change now and expensive to change later.

  4. Storyboard and first animation

What each scene will look like, plus the first seconds animated, so you see the video moving in week one instead of judging static frames.

  5. Production and revisions

The full animation, voiceover and sound design. You leave feedback at the exact second on Frame.io. Single videos and Starter include 3 revision rounds, Growth 5, and Scale unlimited within the approved script.

  6. Delivery

Every format you need (16:9, 9:16, 1:1), plus a short performance brief: where to publish the video and how to measure it.

What you'll need to provide

  • Access to the product: a demo or staging account, or screenshots of each step.
  • Brand assets: logo files, colours and fonts. Your website is enough if you have no guidelines.
  • One decision maker who approves the script and the final video.
  • Feedback within a couple of days at each step, so the schedule holds.

How reviews work

Everything happens in writing, so there are no meetings to schedule across time zones. Scripts are shared in Google Docs, where you comment on the exact sentence. Video drafts go on Frame.io, where you click a moment in the video and leave a note right there. Every decision is written down, so nothing gets lost between rounds.

Where projects slow down, and how to avoid it

  • Changing the script after animation starts. Take your time on the script step; it's built for changes.
  • New approvers late in the project. Involve everyone who must sign off from the start.
  • Waiting for product access. Send screenshots or a staging account with the brief.
  • Scattered feedback. Collect comments from your team into one round instead of several partial ones.
